‘en Joy dance fitness will be running classes at Pavilion on the Park in Eastleigh from July! These will initially be held on Thursday evenings between 7:40pm – 8:25pm during July, increasing to two 45min sessions from September.

Throughout July, come and try a different style each week to get a taster of our various classes – see the timetable below. The two most popular classes will then be held weekly from September onwards!

1st July – A special 70s, 80s & 90s themed taster session, a mix of styles including Broadway Boogie, FitSteps, Zumba + TONE and GLOWfit. FREE session, but booking is essential.

*The free taster on 1st July is now FULLY BOOKED. Please contact us to be added to the waiting list in case a space becomes available* You can still book for the following 3 weeks at a discounted rate with a class pass:

8th July – Broadway Boogie
15th July – Zumba + TONE
22nd July – FitSteps FAB + TONE

£6 per class, or £15 for all 3 when purchasing a multi class pass.

Broadway Boogie is a musical theatre inspired dance fitness class, where you’ll dance, possibly even sing (post-Covid rules of course) and most definitely sweat! Dance like everyone is watching as you take on a different character in each track, performing the easy-to-follow routines with everything you’ve got – this class will bring out your inner performer and really help to improve self confidence! With a fantastic mix of classic and modern musicals from stage and screen within its soundtrack, a Broadway Boogie class is great fun!

Zumba + TONE combines the usual Zumba fitness party atmosphere with optional use of maraca-style Zumba Toning Sticks for some of the routines. At just 1lb each, they add just enough resistance to help tone and strengthen the muscles, while also allowing you to shake them and use them as instruments in time with the music, adding another element of fun to this class. While Zumba classes generally use non-verbal cueing methods, allowing the participants to fully appreciate and enjoy the music and party atmosphere, there is some verbal cueing with the Tone elements to ensure participants have the correct form and technique.

FitSteps FAB + TONE is a dance based exercise concept devised by Strictly’s Ian Waite & Natalie Lowe, which combines the graceful movements of ballroom with high energy latin moves, in a low impact and variable intensity programme suitable ‘For All Bodies’. The FAB routines have swing and sway roots, including dances such as the Foxtrot, Swing Jive, Cha Sway and Charleston. In the TONE tracks we use resistance bands to improve stability, balance and functional fitness, while strengthening and toning the muscles, all within ballroom and latin dance inspired routines.

All fitness levels are very welcome to join the classes, no dance experience necessary! Booking in advance is currently essential as there will be a limited number of participants, in line with Government guidelines.

The exercises in this class are aimed at adults, 16+ years. 14-16 year olds permitted to take part under parent/guardian supervision – the parent/guardian must also be participating in the class. A separate booking/medical form must be filled in by the parent/guardian on the child’s behalf.

Equipment is provided and is thoroughly cleaned between classes.

Classes are taught by a fully qualified fitness professional with a specialism in healthy, along with the EMDUK ‘instructor ready mark’ for Covid compliance.
